It probably cost the creator the same price to upload. He/she make their money back plus profit by selling it for L$ 2 over and over again. Or maybe the item didn’t sell and they reduced the price to $L2.

Secondly, you should just buy the item if it’s just 2 linden dollars. Why waste your time? I would understand if you liked the item and wanted to use it on other grids.

No the item was 2 Land Impact (Li). The reason I didn't buy it, the creator had left SL a few years back and there is literally no where to buy it. Ive even tried FLF and TSS groups asking if anyone had it. I fixed the problem I lowered the (Low) LOD upon importing it and got it down too 3Li.. Thank you for for your time.

There are several ways of cutting down on land impact. The first one is the dimension of the mesh in question. You can alternate the size in the uploader and make it smaller, thus lowering the cost. There's also the option of setting the lowest LOD to 0. This is a technique often used by creators to cut down on Li.
