I’m not sure how you can find the original creator with a uuid.

Back in 2007 when I and most of the creators were making stuff for the big companies because we all thought this was the next wave, I learned in one of the Linden meetings with the lindens that they can search by UUID and the system does know who uploaded it first. Not that they cared about that unless it was a copyright issue.
So unless its a trademarked or copyrighted item (and when I say copyritten I mean filed with the copyright office in Washington DC) don't worry about it. Just do a reverse image search to see if its on the net. If its not, send it back up.
